Project Description: Southern Stainless was engaged to remove the existing chain balustrade system along a section of the Brisbane City Reach Riverwalk and replace it with a new stainless steel balustrade solution.
The project involved the in-house fabrication of custom stainless steel balustrade panels, which were installed between the existing bollards to integrate seamlessly with the surrounding infrastructure. As part of the upgrade, a continuous 3-inch stainless steel grab rail was also incorporated to improve pedestrian safety and usability.
The new system delivers a stronger, more durable, and lower-maintenance solution suited to the demanding conditions of a high-traffic riverside environment.
