Guyatt Park Ferry Terminal Stainless Fabrication
A large-scale commercial upgrade featuring high-quality stainless steel, aluminium, and steel fabrication, delivering improved functionality, accessibility, and durability for a busy Brisbane ferry terminal.
Project Overview
Category: Balustrades, Commercial, Ferry Terminals
Location: Guyatt Park, St Lucia, Brisbane
Project Description: Southern Stainless was engaged to fabricate and install a wide range of stainless steel, aluminium, and steel components as part of the Guyatt Park Ferry Terminal upgrade.
This project required a premium finish across all elements, combining durability with a refined architectural appearance. All stainless steel components were manufactured from 316 marine grade material, mechanically polished to a 1000 grit finish, and fully electropolished after fabrication. This process achieved a surface smoothness of <0.2mm Ra, significantly improving corrosion resistance and reducing the risk of tea staining in a harsh riverside environment.
The result is a high-performance installation designed to withstand heavy public use while maintaining a clean, modern aesthetic.
